Giant Pacific Octopus Opens His Gifts Early!

Christmas came a little early for the Giant Pacific Octopus at SEA LIFE Aquarium - he got to open his first presents today. A festive box full of clams and shrimp may not be what your little ones ask for this holiday season, but it made this octopus very happy. The gifts were part of the octopus enrichment program at SEA LIFE where toys and puzzles are used to simulate the hunting skills the octopus would use in its natural environment. The reasons:

1- I have cold today.

2- I'm not looking forward for thanksgiving. ( I like it when his parents come on that day, but i hate when his mom calls, and tell us to invite her family, because our house is small and it gets crowded, then making a small thanks giving meal is affordable, but making a huge one, I mean for God's sake we have so much dept I don't know what's going to happen to us, she should be more considerate, and her family never ever in their lives invited us to their home not for any reason or occasion, I don't even know how their house look like so why should we invite them and I have to slave on everyone?)

3- I'm a little jealous, because his family visits every holiday where as my family live abroad and they can't afford visiting and i haven't seen them for three years, and like i mentioned before we have so much dept i can't afford visiting them or anything.

4- on top of all that his brother suggested that they both buy a very pricey gift for their parents on Christmas, and he just totally accepted without hesitation, is this crazy or what?

5- And every freakin day I have to sit there and hear him complain about our money situation, it's very unfair that i am trying so hard to stop spending, and there are things that i need but i don't want to buy it because of our situation, and then he wants to buy them this big a$$ gift!!

I am concerned that he will be very overwhelmed by my cheesy, Christmas over-drive family. His family barely celebrates the holidays at all. With a 15 year old in the house they didn't put up a tree and they do not wrap gifts and generally aren't festive. They are very loving and I love them too but when I asked him about buying gifts for them he got a little testy. They don't want to fuss with it which is fine.

I am bringing him home to Texas (we live in Ca right now) for Christmas and my family is the stark opposite, over-the-top, deck the halls nuts. My mom has already bought him a bunch of stuff and is just going haywire. I tried to prepare him and he got a little flustered and worried that he needed to buy everyone in my family gifts. I tried to explain that he absolutely does not, and that they don't care about receiving gifts at all but I can tell he is a little freaked out. My mom and I used to handmake everything when we were poor. We just love to host and do special things is all. I bought gifts for everyone already and made them from the both of us. Help me to soothe him? I love him so and want it to be a great trip.

happy holidays everyone.

i need your help.

i am just plain and simple really bad at naming things i want off the top of my head. my mom is starting her christmas shopping and is wondering what i would want for my christmas gifts. so she is making me write a list. i nomally get one big present(like last year i got a camera) and 3 or 4 smaller presesnts. but this year i already know what i want as my BIG gift.( a cellular phone) but i dont really know what i want for my smaller gifts.

I am 14 years old and a girl. i am NOT preppy. so like i dont want any pretty store clothing. but like are there any ideas. i kinda have a un named style. like skinny jeans and flats and just shirts that arent pink and girly looking. but im not a tom boy. i also like makeup and other things like that. so just PLEASE give me a list of things that i would ask for christmas.
